Man Day

Ahh, man day was awesome. To start the morning my dad and I worked on my truck (plus 20 man points), then we went to the hardware store (plus 5) to buy tools (+10) that have a blade (+15) that is called a machete (+10), to do yard work (-4), by chopping stuff down (+5), didn't wear gloves (+1 toughness), got blisters (-3 for not tough enough hands), didn't complain about blisters (+2 toughness), arrived late to super bowl party (-30), missed first touchdown (-10), ate entire grinder before halftime (+20), kept eating during halftime (+5), ate homemade chili with large chunks of beef in it (+12), saying it was not spicy (+5), finding out that it was not supposed to be spicy (-10), my team won (+20), DA Bears lost (-10), drove home sober (-10), worked all night (0), not on women's work (+100), actually saying that last statement (+3), not in the presence of a female (-2).

All in all one hundred and fifty four man points accumulated. It was a good day.

Indeed. You forgot to mention your oil rubdowns of uncles and cousins, followed by song and dance routines in sequined thongs with feathered caps. That ought to have netted you a few more 'man points'.
I spent the day shopping with my wife, talking about issues and feelings, and then cooked dinner. How many do I get?

I like your point system. Very funny.
And no worries to my husband. Though he cooks dinner, he's still very manly. Rarrr!

Well, no worries then eh? If my wife says so than it must be so.

Gotta go, she says my free time is up and I have to put 'em back in the jar now.

Lets see spent the day shopping (-20), with the wife (-5), not for her underwear (-30), talked with wife (-5), about feelings (-40), didn't express feelings (+50), kept conversation going so that she did not get mad without saying anything (+60), cooked dinner (-3), not for a special occasion (-7), put them back in jar (-20), knowing that they are in the jar and where she keeps it so that you can take them out to have around your friends (+25).

All together you recieved on that day... five man points. Not bad for going shopping. And having the talk. Maybe when you get back she can schedule a play date for you to go out with your friends. Kidding...
