The rantings of a man in training trying to understand the world around him that seems lost to the chaos of high school students.

Student teaching

So I am now done with the first week of student teaching. It has been interesting, waking up at 5:30 in the morning to go to school. Being at school for nine hours and then going back to my uncle's house for six hours of calculus homework until I pass out around ten thirty to get up and do it all over again. I feel like I have been walking a hundred laps around that classroom today. It is amazing how tired you get just standing up for nine hours.

Ok this is creapy two old girlfriends start to instant message me and are talking to me like we are old friends. I of course am being polite and responding to them but not really furthering the conversation. But they know me as more of a listener so they keep talking. Me being polite again am not telling them that I am tired and want to go to bed.

I am day dreaming in my car again. Finger slides down the spine until it gets to the small of the back. Kisses on shoulders, dark black hair tickling my neck, deep blue eyes that bore into my soul and find a love that is everlasting, made especially for her. She flashes the smile that she only shows to me just before I sweep her into my arms and kiss her lips. She smiles again just before she opens her eyes; her way of telling me that you done good, boy. Opens them up and I... get out of my car to go to school. None of it is real. This is where I am, this is where I will be all day, maybe she will come and see me tonight like she has before. Then again maybe it is better to not see her, know she is out there, look for her, find her, kiss her, and I am in the classroom and it is all business.

Who's been contacting you?? I bet girlfriend number one for sure, but perhaps number 2 as well? Three and four don't seem quite as likely. Or who knows... four is insane enough to do a 180 like that...

Well, aren't you glad to know how hard your job will be. :) Teachers really don't get even HALF the credit they deserve. That's what's nice over here: even though teachers still don't get pad a ton, it's a very good job and everyone knows how important teachers are and they get a lot of respect.

Oh, and you can politely tell someone that you need to get off the computer. It's possible, I swear. Glad you called the other day. I too was in need of a friendly friend voice.
